Still alive

I haven't psoted on here in  awhile. I've kept my vow alive so far by continuously writing a page a day. Unfortunately not everything has been tied to my literature goal. Also I need to replace the RAM in my laptop, I'm holding off waiting for some Blitz sale after Thanksgiving. I've also found myself reading a lot more lately.

I think I will just have the rest of the blog today be my Sunday NFL game picks.

Miami vs Green Bay: I like GB here. Aaron Rodgers has shown it was a good decision to choose him over Favre two years ago. Rodgers will continue to lead the Packers to the promise land also since Minnesota has totally blown it not only do the Pack attack win this game they are now 100% my pick for the NFC Norse division. Notables in this game: Packers Defense must stop Ronnie Brown, Dolphins Offense should mix it up more with the Wildcat, it went from 90% of the offense to 10% (and Dolphins easily winning to barely using it and the Dolphins battling). Final score 28-17

San Diego @ St. Louis: This is the make or break game for the Chargers.I'm going to say that the Rams pull out the upset. I look for Bradford to continue to improve and the Rams realistically have a shot at their division. The Chargers special teams woes continue and the Rams take this with a late game Punt return.Final 24-21

Baltimore @ New England: This game could very well be a post season preview. The Ravens a top the AFC Norse has looked impressive. They man handled the Broncos and beat a tough Steelers team. Flacco has really started to play well. But the real question is will Ray Lewis and company be able to stop the lightening fast scoring of Tom Brady. I see this to be a decent scoring shootout. I'll take the Patriots by 4 with the final being 25-21

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh: This is a statement game for the Steelers they have the chance to prove their offense will now be in click with Ben Roethlisberger. Now with the new of the Browns starting Colt McCoy I feel so bad for the rookie QB to have your first NFL start against blitzburg. However I look for Peyton Hillis to end Pittsburgh's defense's 19 game streak of not allowing a 100 yard rusher. This will be a close one and even being a Pittsburgh fan my gut is telling me that Cleveland could squeak out with a victory. But I'll go with the Black N Gold to win by a saftey (I'd say a field goal but Pittsburgh can't make any of those). 23-21

Kansas City vs Houston: I'm gonna go and say Houston wins behind their dynamic offense. Foster runs for a buck fifty against a young Chief defense.  However Houston's defense will keep KC in this game to the end. The major question will be can Cassell prove his season replacing Brady wasn't a fluke? Houston wins this 17-15.

Detroit @ NY Giants: Lions here them roar. The Giants did look impressive, but the Lions have been in every game and who knows if the call would have been made right in week 1 just maybe the Lions would be undefeated because maybe they would have played harder in every other game. I see the Giants as an overhyped team like their cousins the Jets. So since I always pick against New York I am taking the Lions in a close low scoring field goal fest 18-12

Atlanta @ Philly: Well my pick here is simple if Vick is healthy and ready to play I will take Philly winning 35-21, however if Kolb starts for Philly or Vick isn't 100% then I take Atlanta to win 28-3

Seattle @ Chicago: Can Chicago protect their Quarterback. I say no and this will result in the Hawks to swoop by the Bears. Final in this will be 17-13

New Orleans @ Tampa: The Saints have been playing like the Aints once again and they have already ruined my prediction of them going 15-1 so now that I am mad at the Saints I am taking the Bucs. Also the Saints are not the same team as they were last year. Buccaneers with an upset in overtime winning by a long field goal. Final 27-24 OT

Jets @ Denver: Well the Broncos are at the bottom of the West. I will sya that just maybe the ghosts of Mile High will come and lift the Broncos to victory or maybe see if Thunder can be like Gus the field goal kicking Mule. Either that or give the horse a a mouth strap and place Thunder in at running back. When you are averaging 16 inches a carry you don't win.Orton has proven he's a good QB when he has protection which he never got in Chicago. I look for Orton to have another big game, but to break my own rule I take the Jets to win by 6. 36-30

The Battle of the Golden Gate Bridge: The wnner of this can claim they are the true owner of a bridge that well needs repaired. Oakland coming of a victory against the over hyped Chargers and actually in the race for the division. I said it at the beginning of my yearly predictions I take the Raiders to win the west at 8-8 or 907. The 49ers still have a chance at their west but I don't like them. I will take Oakland to win behind Gradokowski. Also my new pick in the NFC West is anyone but the 49ers. Oakland wins by 1 28-27 since the 49ers bumble the game tying PAT with no time left.

The battle of two overhyped teams that suck horribly aka Cowboys love Vikings: You know there is a thing called a tie in the NFL regular season and usually I don't pick ties, but these teams are the overhyped of the hyped. They wanted everyone to believe they were good teams. but when the regular season started they weren't ready. I say this should be the game that the Vikings realize they made a mistake with Brett I'm retiring Favre. I think this team is 100% better without Favre. Jackson can actually move in the pocket and since the Vikings can't block I say give the younger faster QB. I say next year the Vikings ought to trade a 2nd round pick for Vick (they should have done it this year. ) Dallas another team that thinks they are good. Could have downed the ball to end the first half in week 1, whatcha do a shuffle pass that is fumbled and returned the other way. Also you were playing well against the Bears even sacking the QB 5 times in the first half and whatcha do the 2nd half you stopped blitzing. So in this game to guarantee neither team gets out of the gutter I am saying it will be a tie unless the Vikings place Jackson in and then I will say Jackson to Moss wins the game. 10-7

Indy@ Washington: Just because I dislike the Colts and even though they left Baltimore before I was born we still hate the Colts around here. So I take Washington to win a shocker with a 64 yard kick by Ganoe as the clock expires. Ganoe definitely has the leg to own the NFL's longest field goal all to himself. Redskins in a shootout 38-35

Tennessee@ Jacksonville: Both teams have been impressive. The Titans have woke up since losing a close one to the Steelers. Vince Young has played great since being benched. He also now knows his spot isn't safe if he's having an off day. Fisher isn't afraid of bringing in the backup Kerry Collins (who btw 2 years ago led the Titans to the playoffs. I haven't got a chance to watch Jacksonville besides week 1 when they played a competetive game against Denver. I say Young leads a late rally to bring the Titans out with a victory 17-14

Well that's Week 6's picks.

Vows

Well after hitting some roadblocks I'm vowing to get back on track. So I will give daily updates of my garbled mess of a story here shortly. Overall I have been writing what I was calling my goal of one page per day unfortunately it hasn't been on the same project. I almost feel like I have too many ideas. I need a machine to hook up to my brain that will automatically type what I'm thinking.  Then I feel I could at least complete  one novel.

Time is static

I wonder if time really exists. As lately it seems to both accelerate and stop. I believe I will release a short story on here soon. I don't have much to say today. I am surprised that the Steelers are undefeated this year so far. Odds and ins life is the typical and norm. I'm also waiting to hear back from several jobs I applied for. Writing is going at a random pace. Some days I'm getting great progress others I'm just squeaking by with what I require myself to write.  Overall this has been an interesting experiment.

Running out of time

The ancients bestowed upon him a curse of immortality. He and his legions would live on forever. The blood was splattered for miles. The warlords of neighboring villages started to cower and wonder if they could win this war. They found one weakness in the count and that was his love for women. There was a young lady by the name of Camilla that was the warlord from the East's daughter. They enticed the count with her. The girl had one wish from the count and that was to live with him for eternity. She betrayed her own people to change th heart of the count. She became the first new one not transformed by the curse itself, but by love.

Mind numbing

The mind went numb he no longer could tell he was human. He now seeked the blood of humans. He turned more vicious than he use to be now drinking the blood off his victims. In remberence he started placing their heads on spears outside his city walls. His new reign of terror was about to begin.

The sakrentos

It was normal in the start my mind was brimming with creativity that slowly disappeared. The mind was  soon erased and man could no longer accept his reality. Instead man ran and created what he called civilization to separate himself from the other animals. But truly man is no better than the others. Soon man's animal instinct returns. This gave birth to the lands of  Vlad Tepes. Tepes made a deal with the gods to grant hims immorality but it came at a price. Tepes would have to obtain so many human sacrifices per year for the gods. Tepes changed his name to that of Dracula and he also gave birth to a new breed of humans.  These humans could potentially live forever, but each was given a task of obtaining and drinking the blood of humans.  Eventually the race evolved where the blood of humans was required for them to live.

Into the Woods

I found myself developing my Orwellian political satire's plot. The Animal's have had the rule of the roost for a mere 200 years, but have started to slip up. They have somehow let their government go out of control with wasteful spending and for some reason they can't understand how they've come down to only two coices. Somehow the Elephants and Donkeys have taken control of the animal government and created a two party system. There however was soon to be a spark with the  Caterpillars wanting to go back to the roots of the animal system. This new party was simply named the leaf party after the caterpillar's favorite snack. It had a diverse amount of animals stepping forward and not just Elephant and Donkey loyalists like the other two parties. The silent majority was angered by how both the Elephant and Donkey parties have run their government. It was no longer a government run by the animals for the animals and of the animals, but a corrupt government.

A part of me has died

I find myself cornered not knowing what is real and what is fantasy. I look and I feel, but is it really real? Did I come across a world of fantasy or did I somehow come across a new reality? Did mankind just create myths from reality to hide the truth? We live in what is called reality, but are truly real? Maybe the human  itself is the myth and other things are the reality. The mind is slowly melting away. We stumble and we fail and we continue the struggle hoping to exist. But what if this existence is nothing but a mere story? What if man really only subconsciously exists? Maybe man is just derived from myths and started to think he exists, but is nothing more than a thought. That was the keen thinking of a great mind.

The brain no longer will function

This is just a warning that brains have turned to mush. The control of the mind has come near. I really need to get into a writing mood. I've almost made trying to write this story I'm working on more of a chore. I sit down and start to write and see hey 1 page guess I can stop for the day. I think I'll try to relieve myself from stress and blind myself from page counts. I feel all I've done is burn myself out and maybe damage some of my creative integrity.I will continue writing onwards one page per day. Not sure if I will post on here with a progress report if I only do one page per day. But I will post something here related to my writings and musings. I have a backlog of poetry I think that can take up space here when I really have nothing to say about one of the stories I'm writing. Yea I broke my habit yesterday and wrote some pages on a secondary story. For the love of me I just couldn't progress much on my main story. I think writer's block has caught up on me either that or me being lazy and only writing one page a day. I"m going to try not to miss posting a blog for a few days again. But I honestly just forgot all about posting the past few days. Weekends just seem to make me lazy.

Drowning in thought

Back to struggling. I don't think I can place together anything that is coherent at this time. My mind is totally blank at this time. They must have erased my mind. I was so close to revealing their secrets yet I just became a victim. Will anyone be able to stop them? It's just another cold and dark night with me fearing for my life. They had drained me of more than blood. I am slowly disappearing from the world. The sickness is overtaking my body. I fear I won't survive. If I happen to survive I hope to finish my great work to warn others of the chaos that they cause.I shall fight onwards and hopefully make it to completion.

Fear the darkness

I find myself running from the darkness. I seems to follow me wherever I go. I'm fearing for my life they keep coming after me. I feel I no longer have any protection. There's nowhere to hide from the darkness any longer. They slowly pick the world apart one by one. There's not much that can be done as they grow stronger every night. They have slowly realized their own power. They await the chance to feed upon the blood of the unexpected. But their rampage has now spread and is no longer contained in the small town. They slowly go and feed upon the innocent. They no longer have any regard for human life. I have slowly revealed their nature to the world, but it falls upon dead ears. Now when they come out and seek victims upon the night it is no longer one isolated case, but it has reached a large amount. No one has seen the linking between the various deaths. They don't want to admit it is the true terror of the night a myth you may say. People have turned their eyes blind to the real nature of the world and claim anything that's not science is a myth. Yet lo and behold they still perish from the vampire's bite night by night. I no longer can control this creation of mine it now will seek to destroy the human race.

Lost in translation

Ever have what seemed like a wonderful idea and then sat to try to write it down? I seem to be having that syndrome lately. It all seemed so good in my head, but as soon as I write it down t either doesn't translate as good as it seemed in my mind either that or the way I write it clashes with how I thought it. To be honest if I could throw out the conventions of English or any written rules out the window I feel I could create something better. Rolling power outages have kept my writing down today. I did achieve what I saw as three decent pages. So today's been a day of searching my mind for ideas. I love thunder storms just not when they cause rolling power outages. I'd personally would like the weather to clear up for a bit so I can go outside and do some writing. I need to get my brain cells moving and what's better than fresh air.

Off to writing land

Tonight's the kind of night that I think I should make progress. I feel after a few lackluster days that tonight I should see the progress I want to see. I also got myself distracted on starting another short story over the last few days borrowing a bit from Orwell.  In fact it can almost be seen as a spiritual successor to 1984 simply titled 2020. It's a short story I intend to finish after my current project. But I feel tonight is a good night to write about vampires. I'm really hoping to get enough done to maybe start having some editors look at it. But that is yet to be seen.

Late post

Well due to the primary election today I forgot to update here. Not too much to say really. Well I look for having something to actually speak of tomorrow or well technically later today.

Political babbling

Well with primary season under way and election day coming up on November 2, 2010 I feel I should discuss my political picks and why. In fact I see politics as sports competition anymore. I sometimes wonder why we vote for people that go out and spend millions of dollars on advertising themselves. With the money that these politicians spend on advertisement I'm pretty sure if all that money went into paying off the national debt the debt would be a lot less than it is right now. Also does it make sense to spend $250 million on a job that pays only $400,000. I think these people have to be idiots. However I don't necessarily feel the candidates are idiots themselves, I feel our system is idiotic. If anything every candidate should be given the opportunity to speak at debates, but due to how our debates flow today you see the media ask softball questions to their favorites. But the money having to be spent too be president is absurd. We need campaign reform that should limit spending to no more than 3 to 4 times what the projected salary would be. So instead of spending $250 million the campaign reform would place a 1.2 to 1.6 million cap on spending meaning that candidates would have to use public means to get their message across. They could use public radio and television to express their views.

My other complaint is primary season is way too long for the President race. I mean we have such a long drawn out process where candidates are pseudo-campaigning for two years. I dislike the fact hearing about who will run for president two years from now. We should adopt the British campaign system where they are given maybe a month before the election to campaign. So now that most serious contestants would be at the same level with same money same amount of time to campaign and with the public sources of information given fair amounts of time to each candidate it would be about the issues. Not that Barrack Obama has twenty thousand billboards and tv commercials saying vote for him, it would be about what he would do for the country.

Also debates should welcome all contenders that will be on the ballot for the the general election and not your republican and democrat only. The Green and Libertarian parties both have been doing impressively in being listed on almost every states ballot. Any candidate that is on the ballot in 2/3 of the states ought to be invited to the Presidential debates. Then the nation would finally get to see the different view points. Also instead of a two hour debate or one hour debate I'm talking about having the candidates debate until all the questions are answered. Also during rebuttals I don't want the moderator cutting the candidate off every 5  seconds let them express why their opponent(s) view(s) on an issue are wrong. Instead we have the moderator rush candidates through the debate so they can make their allotted time. Politics should be serious but we take and make it a joke.

Moving onto Congressional and Senatorial campaigns again the money that's required to be raised even for a seat in the House of Representatives is getting ridiculous up to 3-6 million to compete. This position makes $160,000 a year so I can see maybe spending twice that at the most. For 1 the job of house of representative is meant as a short term job that's why there's a two year term, but what happens is an incumbent gets so much support from special interests that it's impossible for an opponent to compete.  I am all out in favor of two consecutive terms for both congressman and senators, meaning they can serve more than two terms, but they need a break after two consecutive terms. The problem and where our corruption is, is not with the President. The House and and Senate are more prone to corruption because they seek reelection after re-election. So let's add that stipulation onto the Senators and Congress and we could see corruption drop a little.  However by limiting spending we place the incumbent down to the same playing field as their opponent. Again debates should be held on local news affiliates so we can see how the candidates match up. How many people know what their congressman/woman's views are on issues?. I'd say most people don't.   I'll even go on a limb and say most people don't know who their representatives and senators are.

Those are just some reforms I would make to the system. I feel it would create more competitive elections and give us a more educated electorate who are not just out there voting for their party line. Also people need to actually vote.  America has such a low turnout at the polls no wonder the country has gone to hell and has become an elitist jungle. If we get to 55% of registered voters we're lucky and for midterms that number is closer to 22%. So that means not even half the country is trying to vote or voting and this isn't counting those that aren't registered to vote. I don't want people to think I'm racist but want to know who don't register to vote.... Black people. For all the struggles they went at to gain the right to vote they have a problem registering to vote or if they are registered showing up at the polls. They went and marched in the streets wanting that right to vote, but honestly they rarely cause an impact on the outcome. Now they did come out in full force to vote for OBama, but did they vote for right reasons or because he's black. Now from what I was hearing around the college campus some of the black people I knew were being quite racist in that it's now our time to stick it to the man. As in that Obama was gonna automatically make living better for blacks. Others did have the valid points that they agreed with his politics. But it seemed the majority came voted for him because he's black. I now wonder if the Republicans decided to replace McCain with Palin would that have created a movement among women voters to come and vote for Palin. Then again with as progressive as women have become would they go for a conservative female? Is it even possible to be female and conservative anymore?  Our new norm in society would tell you that's an oxymoron since women want all equality and all rights men have. I bet if it was possible they'd also want a penis too. (Not trying to be sexist or anything just trying to get the point of equality out there). So I'm not sure if it is as polarizing as a black person running for the office. Obama did spend more than any candidate in history though almost outspending McCain 3 to 1 or possibly 5 to 1 depending on what numbers you look at.

Well I needed something to put in this blog today since authoring my novel has been a bit slow today. I feel I'm gonna have a break out day writing soon. Guess I need to provide some entertainment while I'm doing the bear minimum of one page. Well these political babblings have been brought to you by our sponsors.

Down the rabbit hole

That's how my mind has felt lately. My thoughts just keep rushing together and I almost feel I can no longer place together coherent sentences. Also NFL season kicking off is quite distracting when I'm a big football fan. I almost feel like my brain needs something to reawaken my creative juices. I definitely need o find a way to recharge my batteries. Funny thing creatively I've been writing down ideas for what I want to write after the current piece of work. I'm trying to get my mind back onto my current novel, but it has been so hard lately when other ideas  start flowing. I did realize I need to go back soon and divide what I've written so far into chapters. In my head I divided it into chapters but while writing for some reason I forgot too. I also feel I may need to make some plot points simpler. I believe it will keep a reader more entertained. Well today is just another agonizing day of me getting myself in gear.

Typical update and college football

Well today I killled the so called "cause" of the vampirism outbreak, but the people soon realized nothing was going back to normal, but the infections were starting to get worse. Honycue almost figured the law enforcement would pull everyone off the case after the murder mystery was solved. So now he turns to the two people that helped solved with capturing the "murderer"  .

The gridiron classic of the college football season has been upon us for a week and there were some upsets. James Madison knocks off Virginia Tech who now starts the season 0-2. This could hurt the Boise St. Broncos who opened up against Virginia Tech. The Broncos are however the team that I  would consider the uncrowned champion of college football over the past few seasons. They rack up an undefeated season and the big colleges never want to play them during the season. USC never had the stones to pick them up when Boise was looking for more quality opponents. In fact I never saw Texas or Ohio St or Alabama or any of the SEC wanting to play Boise.  So Boise picked up VT the ACC dominant powerhouse and beat them. Unfortunately now that VT isn't be dominant  it looks like that win will be for moot.

In other news my Terps are actually looking impressive for once in non-conference play. If the ACC teams didn't always beat one another up I'd say it would be the division with the national champion every year problem is usually the conference part of the schedule leads to one or two losses a year. However if an ACC team sweeps through the season undefeated they would deserve to play in the National Title game, for the ACC is the toughest conference in all of College Football. Hopefully the terps get through the non-conference part undefeated and can make a run in the ACC this year.

The Irish lost a heart breaker to Michigan. Overall it was the tale of two quarterbacks for the Irish. When their starter went down after the opening drive the backups when 0-8. The Irish probably regret not kicking field goal before half time which would have gave them a chance at a long field goal for the win at the end of the game. Overall this was a good game.

Bama so far is being impressive against Penn St. Showing they may deserve the #1 ranking.

My question is why rank teams at the beginning of the season. It's quite detrimental to un-ranked teams that go unnoticed unless they defeat a ranked team. Shouldn't we wait until week 5 or 6 to rank teams nationally. Then we can weed out the so called good teams if they start out the season horrible. Honestly how was VT still the number 13 team after losing to Boise. Shouldn't have some 1-0 team be number 13 instead. Rankings therefore are worthless until around week 5.

I am taking Boise to finally break the BCS  and win at least the AP poll where they started at number 3. Most likely we won't see them in NC game, but if they run the table we will see them get the AP Poll and maybe even the coaches. The Harris poll is computerized so I don't acknowledge it and I don't acknowledge the BCS as the best system.

Free flow of ideas

Ideas flow across the page slowly, then there's a break in the dam and all the sudden my ideas flow out of control. I did get a good five pages written today. This strange weather from hot to cold is really messing up my rhythm. I need a nice temperate day where I can go outside to sit and type. Today was totally too cold thus I gave up after only five pages. I love having fresh air flowing thorough my veins and it seems to awake my creative juices. Today almost felt like winter fast-forwarded itself in . It seems I have a few days a week that are productive and some other days where it almost seems if writing is a chore. I'm hoping tomorrow warms up a little and leads to a very productive day.

Break from typical updates almost

I wrote a lonely page in my story today not much to brag about. However I also wrote NFL predictions earlier today so I will include that here for something. I almost feel the days where I jsut write one page sometimes leaves me with nothing to talk about really. Well here's some NFL predictions may the vampires take over the NFL.

Well with the NFL season upon us I have taken it upon myself to make my predictions for each division. Some picks are out there, but I don't want everything to be th same as the so called professional forecasters.

AFC East:
1. New York Jets 12-4
2.  New England Patriots 11-5
3. Miami Dophins 9-7
4. Buffalo Bills 3-13

New York is a lock at finishing first if Sanchez stays healthy, now if Sanchez gets injured at any point then the Patriots should easily jump over the Jets. Though Brady did lose a step last season and teams have started finally figuring out New England's Run and Gun offense (aka they use a modified Run N Shoot). New England should still get a wildcard though. I also feel Brady has lost a step. The Dolphins will only go so far with their Wildcat offense. The mopdified single wing offense has slowly become a novelty. Note Pittsburg with Kordell Stewart where it fizzled out within 3-4 years. Buffalo just hasn't really improved though CJ Spiller could  win Rookie of the Year he's only one player. We all saw how far that got Barry Sanders.

AFC North:
1. Ravens 11-5
2. Steelers 10-6
3. Bengals 10-6
4. Browns 7-9

Though I hate to admit it the Ravens are currently the best team in the North. THey acquired TJ Houshmazada to use in either the slot or 3 wide sets. They have an established QB in Flacco. They still have a punishing defense even thugh the keys in the defense keep getting older. The only question is will the defense hold up over the long season. THe Steelers season depends upon how they do in the first 4 games without Roethlisberger. I have them going 2-2 across this four game spand, but they could finish worse or better. The Bengals are most people's hands on favorite to win the North unfortunately they seem to always go back to playing Bungle football and with both Pittsburgh and Baltimore with superior defenses that like gettting to the QB the Bengals maybe hardpressed for wins in the division. The Bengals also are a team that may get into shootouts and I'm unsure if their defense will stop the other team enough to win.  The Browns apparently are still struggling from the Paul Brown curse, but could very well surprise this year. With Holmgren in the front office this is the season for Mangini to win or most likely leave town. So the pressure is on the Browns, but unfortunately I feel this is Mangini's last season there.

AFC South:
Colts 14-2
Texans 9-7
Titans 8-8
Jaguars 6-10

Who can bet against the Colts and Peyton Manning. If any team cold run the table it is most likely the Colts. Though the Manning contract talks could be a distraction, but Manning seems to be a cool cat. THe Colts very well could be making it back to the playoffs. The Texans aren't there yet, but do keep improving and I look for them to atleast match  their record from last year.  The Titans could shake things up, because if they played how they did in the stretch alst year they could dehrone the Colts, however if they play like they did at the start of last season they could find themselves  playing catch up again. The Jaguars could very well be Mr. Irrelevent in the South. Their division oppoenents are just better than they are. The Jaguars also are lacking in many key areas.

AFC West:
1. Oakland Raiders: 8-8
2. San Diego Chargers 7-9
3. Kansas City Chiefs 7-9
4. Denver Broncos 5-11

I feel with as weak as the west is Oakland will triumph and win the divison at 8-8 or maybe even 7-9. This is the bottom of the barrel of the AFC and I had to pick a team. Though many would say the Chargers are favored, they lost Tomlinson whom I still believe is the best back in the game today. Also I feel the verdict is out that the Chargers made the wrong choice in the Brees-Rivers QB controversary. The Chiefs have improve, but I don't see them winning the West just yet. It is a possibility though with as bad as I find this division. The Broncos seem to start out good every year. Heck it's a possibility that they could start 5-0 and then choke. The division has been their's to win the past two seasons and they've choked. This season I look for them to struggle and to go to Tebow late season when nothing matters anymore.

NFC East
1. N.Y. Giants 11-5
2. Washington Redskins 10-6
3. Dallas Cowboys 7-9
4. Philadelphia Eagles 5-11

The Giants are hands on my favorite to win the East. THough Washington very well could give them a run in for the money as Shanahan finds a way to win almost everywhere he goes. (I exclude his one year stint with the Raiders where he had no chance to build a winner). If McNabb stays healthy the Redskins may finally have a QB that can atleast lead them to the NFC Championship game. THough I feel it maybe another year of Eli. The Cowboys and Eagles are really irrelevent in the East unless the Cowboys offense finally starts ticking in the Redzone. Their first team offense did so poorly in the preseason I don't believe they'll click soon enough. The Eagles imo went from contenders with McNabb to the bottom of the barrel. I look for Vick to start by the end of the season, but it maybe too late to salvage the season.

NFC North:
1. Green Bay Packers 12-4
2. Minnesota Vikings 10-6
3. Chicago Bears 7-9
4. Detroit Lions 4-12

Sorry Favre fans, Rodgers has proven that McCarthy has made the right decision to pull the trigger on Favre. Rodgers has improved each season he has been the starter and I look for him to be the best QB in the NFC barring Drew Brees. Green Bay should be ready to sweep Favre and the Vikings this year. The Vikings are a better team with Favre, but he does his whole fake I'm retiring thing every off season. I actually will look for some defnses to be gunning for him Also who can say if his ankle will hold up. The Vikings could finish as good as 15-1 that is if they can recover from the early defeat to the Saints. I however don't look for them to recover and I see a blowup between Childress and Favre which coul damage team morale. THe Bears have made some improvements and if Cutler gets some sort of protection and has time to throw the ball he could be the second coming of Jim McMahon. However Chicago hasn';t really improved the O-Line. Detroit is slowly improving and could make a run  in a few years. Stafford will have to stay healthy however. Give the Lions two more years and I can see them wnning the North.

NFC South:
1. New Orleans Saints 15-1
2. Atlanta Falcons 12-4
3. Carolina Panthers 9-7
4. Tampa Bay 4-12

Overall this is the roughest division in all football since I see the Falcons and Panthers as contenders to New Orleans. New Orleans is hwoever just the current best team in the NFL. They will look to defend the Super Bowl Title and could repeat as champions. The Falcons are probably the biggest threat in the division and if the Ryan gets into a rhythym he could compete with Rodgers and Brees as the best QB in the NFC. The Panthers are a young team and don't have the distraction of paying Peppers a lot of money this year. They instead have went with younger players they've been grooming the past two seasons. Overall the Panthers could make a pounce in the division and finish better than I predict. The Buccaneers have reverted back to the Yuccaneers. They have been irrelevent since having Dungy build up a team and firing him to bring in Gruden. Gruden truly did nothing it was Dungy's team that won the Super Bowl not Gruden's. Tampa has been dying and becoming more irrelevent each season.

NFC West:
1. San Fransisco 49ers 11-5
2. Seattle Seahawks 9-7
3. Arizona Cardinals 7-9
4. St.Louis Rams 4-12

This is the 49ers year to impress. Smith came on strong late last year to show that it was the right decision to take him as a #1 pick way back when. THe 49ers probably are the most complete team in the West and I don't see the rest of the division as a threat. The Seahawks are now in the Pete Carrol era and well Carroll has been here before when he coached the Patriots. I don't see Carroll winning it all this year even though he's use to winning. Maybe next year he'll have a team to compete against the 49ers. The Cardinals would be odds on favorites to win if they had Kurt Warner. I say they should send the team over to Warner's now and get him suited up for week 1. With Warner the Cardinals would easily win the division, but with Lein, er Anderson they'll be lucky to get a few wins. My advice is call Warner now. The Rams are rebuilding and maybe they should call up Warner also... Bradford is a shining star, but I don't believe they have enough weapons around him. Also their O-Line will have to do a bette rjob protecting the QB.

I mysawell do a mock playoff predictions too.

Pittsburgh will head into Baltimore in the first Round of the playoffs in the typical 3 vs 6 matchup. Pittsburgh is a threat as a number 6 seed and has previously won a Superbowl from this seed. Can they repeat again. I Do have Pittsburgh winning in OT against the Ravens in the first round of the playoffs.

New England goes into Oakland in the 4 vs 5 matchup. The Raiders miracle season (sic 8-8) continues as they finally enact revenge for the snowbowl/tuck rule game. Final comes down to a safety late in the game that sets the Raiders up for a victory.

Pittsburgh goes ino Indianapolis, but unfortunately this time Big Ben does not make the big tackle. Manning lights up the scoreboard and no comeback for Big Ben this time. 28-14 final.

Oakland goes into New York to face the Jets. Sanchez has a good game and ends the Raiders playoff run.

New York vs Indianapolis  Manning throws a game losing interception as the Colts were driving for the go head FG leading to a final of 28-21

NFC Playoffs
The Redskns win the tiebreaker over the Vikings and head in against division rival New York in the 3 vs 6 matchup. The Skins pulll out a late game comeback driving 90 yards in the last 2:00 minutes for the victory. 24-21

The Falcons head into San Francisco for a matchup that becomes a gun fight. Smith makes a late game mistake that sets up the game winning field goal for the Falcons. There are a lot of points in this game with the final 46-44

The Redskins season ends the following week in New Orleans. The Saints just blow away the Skins and run to a 49-7 victory

The Falcons head to the frozen tundra of Green Bay and Lambeau Field. The Cheeseheads are out and after a slow start Rodgers lights up the scoreboard in the second half with 28 unanswered points. UNfortunately for Rodgers Ryan isn't done and answers with two late scores to tie the game up. In overtime The Falcons take a risk and decide to go with an onside kick after kicking a field goal. They recover the onside kick thus ending the game and making the new playoff overtime rule moot. 31-28 O.T.

The Falcons head into the Super Dome to face off against the Saints. This is just routine for the Saints as they knock off the Falcons for the third time in the season. Hartley kicks another game winning Field Goal to take the Saints to abck to back Super Bowls.

The Jets are the underdogs in this game and the Saints show it's no fluke they won last year. Brees and the Saints just dominate the game as Brees breaks Young's record for TD pass in a super bowl with 8 TDs. THis becomes the biggest blowout since the Redskins destroyed the Broncos. Final Score is 64-10.

The Saints unless something goes wrong such as Brees getting injured are the best team in the NFL. I don't see anyone competing against them this year. The AFC as a whole barring the Colts and maybe Steelers are not on par with the best of the NFC which is the reverse from 3-4 seasons ago.  The Steelers are the wildcard in the AFC if they make it to the playoffs as a 6 seed I'd watch out for. They seem to play better when they have something to prove. The Ravens finally have an offense and very well could have the defense to compete against the Colts. But overall none of the teams I feel are on the Saints level.

(Now watch the Saints will prove me wrong by being blown out tonight.)

Go go go

Well today was a pretty fun advancing day. Moving the plot forward here and there. Shuffling characters around. Watching the struggles between life and death. Today's been probably one of my best days in awhile. I actually feel accomplished today. Besides advancing my story I did some other personal writing too. I actually decided to apply for my first professional type job. I'm also preparing my college resume  type package also for the various colleges I'm interested in attending for my Master's Degree. So not only did I continue with the novel writing today, I also went back to proof read some previous work to touch it up for my Portfolio.  I realized I hate writing a resume because it's nothing more but a brag sheet. I hate talking myself up, but in reality that's all a resume is. College portfolios are very similar in that you brag about why you should be accepted into said program.

The night has grown dark and the town has become pitch black. They want the blood of humans to continue their life. They want to remain their youthfulness and immortality. Man has long forgotten the gods that cursed them. Man slowly tries to eliminate all gods and claim humanity is God. Humanity started to rely on its science for everything. That is what makes humans, both ignorant and arrogant. Man awaits it's final judgment with the gods. But they will come and feed upon your blood when you least suspect it. You can keep telling yourself they don't exist, but they do. They have grown hungry and feel it's time they drink the blood of humans once more. They have grown tired of living off of blood from the blood banks and wish to use their fangs once more. They will strike and you may never notice it. Or they may feel daring and kill you outright.

Back to the frying pan

The weather is so unpredictable this time of the year. Today I found myself sweating too death once again while writing. The cooler days make it so much easier and more comfortable to write for longer periods of time. Today I wrote two pages that I definitely will re-examine. Hot days are not the best for writing I'm hoping I have the will power to write here in a little while. The night air also seems to always bring out inspiration for me to write.  Only one small sub plot was advanced so far today. I sort have left this character for awhile in limbo and figure I better further his story a little bit further.

I almost feel burnt out in writing. I sometimes wonder how I convinced myself to write at least a page a day until I finish this novel. I almost feel as I created a chore for myself instead of enjoying the story I'm crafting. I mean when I'm brainstorming I still have the passion, it's when I sit down to express everything from my brainstorming sessions  to paper that really wears me out. I'm sort of getting into a rhythm though especially since some of my brain storming is developing ideas for a possible series someday.  It will just be if I can continue expressing it properly in written form. I just feel exhausted today namely I wasn't expecting such a heat wave after it had cooled down lately. September is that unpredictable month where it's 70-80 degrees one day and then the next it's close to 100 degrees. But I have written further than I have ever written a story before. So I did hit a milestone with the small bit of progress I made today.

Slowly slowly crittly crittly

The alliance between detective and protagonist has been developed. The cemetery scene is slowly being setup. Will the detective overcome his skepticism of vampires existing? The bumpy ride continues for the quaint town of Pulchuraville. Will the renowned detective be able to piece together everything or will he rely on the intuitiveness of young girls that were trying to figure out who their new neighbors are. The mysteries continue to unfold in Pulchuraville and become more confusing. Also apparently there was a curse involved somewhere along the ways on this small town. Also will the newly transformed vampire find his ways out from the woods after ignoring the words of a mysterious individual.

My blood alone will no longer be enough to quench their thirst. They soon will descend upon the Earth once more. They have tried to stay hidden since being cursed. They were once human. They however came upon an ancient relic in the ancient times which was both a blessing and a curse. It granted immortality, but at the price that the light of the sun could destroy them. They also had to gain sustenance from the blood of humans. Though they appear in mortal flesh, the mortals would become their prey. The one who's wish was granted was Vlad Tepes. He wished to be immortal. The ancient gave him his wish, but the ancient knew Vlad was one who lived in a life of gore so forced the condition of blood on to Vlad. The origins begin with Vlad and in that last day the curse will end with Vlad.

There's a change in the weather

I can feel fall coming towards me. Gonna be that chilled weather. I am starting to get new ideas each day for writing projects. Really can't say I made much progress on my stories today. Instead today's writing was mostly dedicated to more political issues. I may just copy and paste the entire article here since can never tell if people may be interested in political babble. Honestly all I really wrote today was an article on what I see as a controversial law and list. I guess it maybe an interesting read. But I am planning to spend the wee hours of this night in adding to my main story which is now starting to exit the short story spectrum. It almost is entering into the novella stratum and hopefully I can have it reach into the novel status. Today's been a slow day overall. I must add to my story though and I'll try to post my political musings here in a bit.

Ideas rushing at my head

I'm tackling a period of writer's block on one story and getting inspired to write another. Fortunately I'm making myself stick to one project at a time. I just may decide to release a chapter or two of my current story out to the wonderful world of the internet to get some criticism. I however want to make sure everything meets my high standards. It has been roughing keeping myself on track, but I think by forcing myself back to attention is working for once. Through the points of writer's block and even writer's fatigue I've been forcing myself through. Well not much really has advanced in the plot. I've actually have been debating that cemetery scene yet again. I personally almost feel it's overdone in horror type stories, but it's also a staple. Also I think it adds to the mystery to some extent especially when observing some of the old tombstones. I feel it is actually really adding to the depth of the story. Since there's quite a bit of back story weaved within the current mystery, I almost feel I owe it to anyone that may read this story to understand the significance of the past. The eerie graveyard with graves dating back 3 centuries I feel allows a reader to be immersed with the past and understanding what's going on in what seemed to be a peaceful town. I just feel I finally justified to myself adding in a cemetery to my story and now it's deciding how much of a role to have it play. Personally when I see an old gravestone I almost feel that's a link back to a distant time. Since the back story is very important some characters may feel that link to the past.

Inspiration station

You know I got an inspiration while driving home tonight from a football game. I went on an old country road that rarely sees cars when it came to me to do a short story about a road. Now the silly idea I got is I could do several short stories tracing the back to an origin of the original haunting of said road. Sure it maybe a cop out since everyone has probably done a hitchhiker out n an old country  road story, but most are one of short stories. I'm thinking I could write around 7 stories in different time frames describing the haunting. All tales have an origin right or why else would people keep trying to meet up and look for the ghosts.

I'm sort of vampired out, but  I could implement part of this tale into my current piece of work, but I'm thinking it would just make it too convoluted. I'm at about 1/4 of the way through that tale and adding in more elements really would most likely extend the tale. Now if I do it as a separate entity and build up seven short stories (roughly 15,000-25,000 words each) And write an epilogue I feel that way I'd be technically working on a second novel at the same time.

Still priority one is the mystery I'm writing, but I guess it's always nice to have secondary ideas for your next piece of work. Writing so far today has mainly been brainstorming. I however do plan to add a few pages here to the vampire project. I realized I sort have left the reader wondering for awhile what is going on with an infected victim. Overall I think I should make some good progress tonight.

I keep finding strange places to go to give me inspirations lately.

Slow and steady

I have days where I just can't stop writing and then I run into these days where I barely can put one idea together. I'm gonna attribute it to the weather since it has been so hot lately and in other places I know they are starting to be hit by buckets of rain from the hurricane.  I for one would welcome some rain. Rainy days seem to be an inspiration for me and are some of my most creative days. Today was a day I thought to myself why did I say I was going to write at least one page a day for a year. Now I'm glad I wrote the page I did today sinc eit sort of fit with tying up some loose ends. In fact today's page in itself was all over since I went back and proof read the whole story so far and saw where I needed to add a few things in here and there. I guess I went and fixed the flow of things. So overall I added in total about 2 pages of progress today with one page worth being additions to past sections and one page continuing from my last stopping point. I almost feel I need to take a day out of each week to proofread and who knows what clarifications I can add. Overall today was quite a task. Hopefully today's additions will pan out or who knows I may decide to change it back later or shift some ideas. I have a plan, but one original idea I had I changed while thinking of how to advance the plot. I wasn't originally going to have a detective character in this mystery and well now I like the personality I gave to him so he's playing a more prominent role, yet still remains only a secondary character concerning the real plot. I almost feel cliche that I add a detective into a mystery.

Today has just been too long of a day and I almost feel I'm dying from heat exhaustion or was I bit by one of the vampires? Only time will tell.

Still do we need a cemetery scene?

Today was a reflection day. I actually read what I have wrote so far and found myself intrigued. I also was reading to fix some simple typographical errors. But honestly I found myself entertained with what I wrote so far and it mad eme think what was I going to add to it next. I was also giving myself a general idea of where I should break off chapters.

Today's writing did farther the plot quite a bit. It actually got done a setup I was debating for awhile in my mind and I decided might as well place to two protagonist groups together for awhile. Also the first murder suspect is about to be questioned. Are there really any links between these two alleged murders. Honycue is still baffled why he wasn't told of a possible earlier murder. Jenny and Jamie give some important information to Honycue about what they have concluded so far. Another vampire is about to be born or temporarily become a vampire. A massive hunt of the bats around Pulchuraville has started in hopes of find the source of the sickness. That's the medical personnel solution in what they consider a case of the avian flu.  Characters are slowly beginning to analyze there own thought patterns and dreams.  I almost feel I just may have too much going on at once.

I slowly have started hiding away from them not letting them see my fear of them. They continue to creep about me hoping to drain more of my lifeforce. They are a mischievous duo. They keep trying to have me succumb t their pressure. If it keeps up to survive I may have to become a vampire. It may be the only way that I survive. For I have gotten the sickness. I am not long for the world unless I allow them to transform me or atleast place me under their control.  They keep me at bay and I try to keep them at bay. I'm jsut hoping to keep them away from others. Soon they will break free and they could enslave the world.

Can I have a bite

The mystery is starting to take on a a world of it's own. A suspect has vanished from his jail cell. A humble sheriff feels ghosts are at play. Two victims spouted off that they believe vampires were at the forefront. The skeptical detective monologues briefly about his previous case that he also was skeptical about. He must really have rotten luck when it comes to cases. A mysterious voice spoke to the escaped suspect and caused him to run off and question his reality. The psyche of everyone is beginning to cross a line making everyone wonder what is reality. The sickness is about to become widespread across all of Pulchuraville cuasing people to make choices. Other incidents like the previous murder have started to spring up making the good detective to wonder if he's dealing with a serial killer. Twins that have been studying the past may just hold the solution to the problem.

The vampires grew hungry and have been living off my lifeforce. I'm hoping to keep them at bay long enough and hoping to draw them forth into the sun. I myself have almost become immune to the sickening. Either that or they have become experienced at draining blood. Just hope they don't accidentally go for the kill or purposefully kill me. I just hope they don't transform me. I have been struggling with the thoughts that I may turn into one of them. Would I really sneak around at night  and suck out the blood of strangers. What if I accidentally killed them. What if I go rogue and go on a rampage? I would probably choose to destroy myself. They fear that I will release their secrets. Vampires have kept a veil of secrecy to the point man has discarded them as a myth, but they exist. They typically pick a sleepy town to strike somewhere where records will be covered up easily. They can strike alone or in a colony. So if you live in a small sleepey village I warn you to be on guard.

Finally made some progress today that I'm proud of. I feel that the characters within the actual story are being fleshed out and are no longer just mere thoughts from my head, but they are living and breathing. I'm gonna try to keep the blog  in to the sections of me spouting a bit about plot and story advancements and then me ad libbing a first person diary style of me fearing from my creation. Sorry it was a bit lagging here for a few days, but when I barely advanced the plot and was struggling with placing ideas down to paper there wasn't much I could write. Now I'm glad I did make the challenge of myself to write at least one page per day. Otherwise chances are I would have given up on this story completely. I believe so far I've successfully written for 16 days with at least one page a day.

349 more days left. I hope I can make it. I plan on it and it would allow me to complete something I've started for once.

Day x, word Y

Today's heatwave really took it's toll on me. It was a day they just eventually drained me. I just felt that today's heat created another day of forcing me to write in a struggling manner.  I wanted to write so much today, but the heat just kept me sweating away. I made some progress, but how much of my sanity did I give up trying to get through. It definitely was too hot for thinking today.

End of the drought

I feel like the progress is starting to take shape again. Hopefully getting back to my normal sleeping schedule tonight will mean I can get back to the hours that I"m most productive at writing which seemed to be at around 10 am. I also feel a little bit better so just maybe I will overcome the sickness. Either that or I'll just get sicker and disappear before finishing. This was the first day that I've felt I've wrote something that will work out without too many revisions, however it is using some of what I thought was useless blabber over the past two days. So here after having two days of what I considered horrible writing days, I've found a genius way to salvage it. Simply I'll just add on to the start of what I found as blabber and use it at a later stage of the story. I look for tomorrow to be quite productive, I may even go on a writer's  crusade and come close to doubling what I currently have written. I'm not sure if I will or not, but since today was the first day I came out of the writer's struggle of meeting my quota I've set for myself with not problem and even near tripling it for the day makes me feel revived. So tomorrow may see several mini updates throughout the day.

Till tomorrow which may turn into a marathon unless the vampires decide to drain me tonight while I attempt to sleep. They fear that I'll reveal their true nature so they keep trying to delay me from writing onwards. I believe that is why I've had two very rough days of writing. Onwards and upwards we go I guess. I guess I'll have to use one of the methods of defeating a vampire soon. Then again I would hate to be the one to destroy my own creation, but they are slowly getting out of control and trying to impede on my progress, meaning I must keep a close eye on them. Being stalked by them at night is very terrifying, never knowing if they may go for the kill.

Till tomorrow,
eric

Slowly slowly

Another somewhat unproductive day. I really feel this is another day of writing something that makes very little sense.

I feel my creation has achieved mind control over me and slowly has fed upon my life force. They grow stronger each day and soon I won't be able to write much more. They may just receive their wish and achieve silencing me. For the sickness I have must be from my creation. They want their secrets to remain in mystery. They want me under their control at the very least. I will have to destroy them soon. The sickness will soon take over my body and leave me  between the lands of life and death.

Another slow day

Well after such a fast start the past two days have been very slow moving. I'm just barely making it to a page. I blame it partially on me feeling ill and the other part on I'm surprised I'm still attempting to write each day. So honestly since nothing has really advanced and I'm quite sure that the past two days writing is probably just filler that may get cut when I get to the revisions. I'm hoping I'm feeling better tomorrow. I hate being sick.

Moving onwards

Welll not much to say today except that everything is moving a long. I think I'm getting sick though which makes writing a bit rough, but I will continue onwards. I've just been so tired today, what I've written today probably makes no sense. however in the spirit of progress I have gotten a page wrote to continue with my goal. Even though I'm sure I'll have to revise it completely.

Another day goes by

I'm impressed that I've kept myself in rhythm this far. That makes 10 days down and 355 to go.  I'm actually quite a bit ahead of schedule and now find myself wanting to write more and more each day. Funny thing is on day one I was struggling with just getting to the one page. Day 2 I wanted to give up, Day 3 I was starting to get somewhat comfortable. Day 4 I feel I finally started getting into the plot. Now everything is getting simple to write. I feel I've come to know my characters. They almost feel as if they're an extension of myself or at least what I hear in the news. I'm really starting to like the detective character I created, that I am not too sure where I want to take him. I guess with all the mysterious deaths I should have some characters survive, but who should live?

Not much else to say today, except I definitely need to sleep. Insomnia slowly takes over the mind. I've been staying up to defend myself from their approachs. It will be only some time before they make a successful strike.

First visit from the block.

My best friend the writer's block finally paid me a visit. However I struggled through it and believe I might have came up with a great twist  otherwise I wouldn't have thought of doing the setup in this way. The weirdness has started in the town with one mystery developing after another. No one has linked them all together yet at this time. In fact only the two leads have any idea of what's going on. The lead investigative detective has also discovered something that he believes is un-related. Lives are hanging on by a thread and a set of twins may hold the answers to what's happening. They however have started to roll out one of their suspects, but is it a mistake. I think if the reader stayed interested in the beginning of the story up to this point they will now be sucked in and start to feel an attachment with some of the characters that are now gonna face danger. But the more important question is everything in their mind. The restoration of the vampire tale is starting to go into full swing.

Bouncing ideas around

Today has been mostly a day of brain storming. I've really been thinking a lot about my writing and how to express the story how I want. I even sat back and read what I've wrote so far and I find myself intrigued. It has me really thinking if all writers enjoy the stories they tell.

Also I'm bouncing around ideas for another project after I'm done this current story. For some reason it's a style of story telling quite popular in the orient. A style where the story is a collection of seemingly unrelated stories that tie in to create a final story. Sometimes it involves going through various time periods, other times it's various places, but there's only one or two elements that keep the tales linked together and sometimes the point isn't seen until the final chapter.

Blood will be shed

I don't think I'm giving my protagonists a break from the strange occurrences happening in their town. They slowly but surely are understanding that all the events are tied together. One important character has just been introduced, no good mystery is complete without a detective. Though the detective at this time is just investigating a strange homicide. He doesn't seem like the type that believes in vampires though so it seems doubtful he'll believe the story from the twins.

They came again last night wanting a pint of blood. I'm not sure if I have the blood to provide to them. I will fight on and continue to reveal their secrets. My own creation has become breathing and bloodthirsty. I can only hope they don't go out and seize the world. Their demands grow and they don't want this story written.

Another 1000 words down

So far I've been writing more and more each day pass the goal of one page per day. Decided to have my first intimate scene  go awry at the movies.  Set up quite a plot twist and  will most likely continue onwards with the ride down mystery lane.

They also keep draining me of my strength.  I don't know if I will survive the continuous onslaught. They keep sucking my blood away and making me weak. I'm not sure if I will have any left to offer them. But I will reveal the secrets to their defeat. They strike quick, but I must type faster. I must release the power to destroy them. I must stay awake and starve them of their blood supply. I will find their coffins and strike.

Are cemetery scenes overused

I'm debating on if I should add the typical cemetery scene or not. I mean it seems almost to be a requirement in any type of horror story. Even if the cemetery has nothing really to do with the plot. I almost feel it's a requirement or I could add it in randomly and then have its purpose revealed later.

So to cemetery or not to cemetery?

Ut-oh we have a casualty

The vampire's grasp has claimed a victim, but the authorities and doctor's for some reason aren't treating that as the cause. They instead point the fingers that it's a murder and accused the nurse on duty.

Will Jenny and Jamie continue to uncover more mysteries from the past through two old books they've come across? Will Jenny's date go awry as Jamie is home alone and notices the way vampire's work?. Jamie sits and awaits the return of her sister while she worries the vampire's have gotten to Jenny's date.

I  also feel my creation paid me a visit again last night. They just don't want the truth revealed about them. They don't want me to allow the world to see the truth that vampire's exist. I keep trying to tell them the world will still believe it's a fictional account. I however will not give up. I will write this tale to its finish. If anything they should be happy that I'm exposing their story to the world as many feel they are to parodied and not taken seriously. They should be thanking me for this revival of sorts. Maybe I just learned too much about their secrets, that they feel the world should not know the real vampires.

Otherwise besides the threats from my creation the writing is going smoothly. Today has been mostly a dark and dreary day so I've decided to do quite a bit of writing. Good thing to note is I feel I'm about 1/10 of my way through the plot. Either that or I'm 1/100 of the way through and I'm just realistically cutting the story down to1/10 so it will be finished someday.

More updates coming soon probably either more today or come by tomorrow.

This is a test

This is just me testing to see if everything is posted to Feed and twitter correctly.  I may eventually create my own design using html, but it all depends if I don't get lazy. Also it's quite fun getting reacquainted with html. I sometimes miss designing webpages even though I feel I'm horrible at promotion.

Anyhow I'll probably head to bed soon and catch up on sleep. Just hope my characters don't drain me of all my energy like they seemed to of done today. Also out of boredom I broke my story down to around the page size of a typical paper back book and realized I'm further a long then I was thinking. Also if I was to double space everything I'd inflate it to make it look like I'm a lot farther a long. I just hope I can keep up with this schedule I laid out for myself.

Drain my life away

I feel my own creation is out to get me. I've felt so drained today. I'm succumbing to the Vampire's Grasp myself. They didn't want me to let the secret out. I promise I will fight on and complete their story before they kill me like they've killed so many others over the centuries.

Other news today was way too hot. I thought I was gonna die from heat stroke. So I did make some progression today. I think tomorrow will be more productive if the vampires don't visit me while I sleep. Will they come as bats or will they come in human form no one really will know. One thing for sure is that I feel I'm further along in the story than I thought I would be. So hopefully I can keep up the  progress.

Another day and another page

Well today I started writing later than I thought I was going to. Just simply went to write a page to expand on my plot. I feel I'm growing closer to ending chapter two and moving onto chapter 3 which is where I' m gonna say the real story starts. Not that I have my cut off points for chapters completely planned out. But I do have plans laid out in my head. Right now I'm just letting the creative juices flow. The only thing I know is I have the destination planned. I'm not sure what types of twists and turns are on the horizon but I do believe it will be entertaining. Stay tune soon I'll release more of the plot details. All I will say is it feels like a classic mystery, but it doesn't necessarily have your Sherlocke Holmes detective character that most mysteries have. Even though I enjoy the know it all detectives, I feel  though with the subject in hand and the fact the story primarily is taking place in a small town village, which for the historical factor is set in Massachusetts. Namely when people think of colonial Massachusetts they typically think of the witch trials and since this town called Pulchuraville. (Pulchura is derived from Latin meaning beautiful and ville from French, meaning village gives us the name Beautiful Village.)Would anyone suspect such a town to have so many hidden secrets and such an ominous pass as the protagonists find out early in chapter 2.

Ville in itself may even originally be Latin. Too bad it's been so long since I've studied Latin.

Onwards writing backwords to move forwards

I once again have myself wondering how some of my favorite authors write. Like right now I have the conclusion to this story planned out and it's just trying to make the road map and adventure to reach this conclusion. I'm beginning to wonder if I have what it takes to write a nice exciting story. I mean I find myself getting excited as I write the details. The question I wonder is if authors get as excited as they are writing a story as a reader gets while reading it. I mean the author typically would be the first reader of their story. If they write something they personally don't like would they still continue in that direction if they thought a reader would like it.

Have to say progress is coming better than I thought. Started on chapter 2 today and it's moving forward. Not sure how long this story will end up being. But I will continue to update.

Day 3

So some minor plot developments today. I'm almost getting addicted to this project. Which usually by time I get to this point in a project I want to give up. However since I now give myself this deadline of posting a progression report here each day I'm hoping I will stick to composing this piece of art.

Earlier today I read part of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet and it had me thinking wonder how long Shakespeare spent on his work. Also Shakespeare had a knack for creating words and well I feel like I've already created one new word for my story. Another writer I sit back and wonder how they approach things is Stephen King. Like his work or not he's probably one of the most famous modern day writers. I also sit back and wonder where other writers draw their inspiration. For me I've been drawing inspiration from believe it or not some projects I did as an undergraduate. I doubt he's reading this but I would like to just have a shout to Dr. George White, because of the classes I had with him I feel I'm doing justice  to the direction I'm taking this story in with Romania and Hungary. People today rarely keep track of political and religious importance of a region as I hope to impress on my readers with the rich history of a territory typically surrounded in lure. Even though I would cross this story as that of a mystery and vampire story, as with most things there is a secondary story hidden between the lines.

Something tells me here soon I may end up getting ahead of where I want to be with this story. Even if I find myself producing quite a bit progress, my goal is still to have 365 days of writing at least 1 page and then posting a a followup here. Which means I'm actually probably writing at least twice my goal depending on the length of these blog posts.

Until tomorrow,
Eric

Progression version 7.0

So far I think my plot is progressing nicely. Kept up and wrote a page and a half to finish up the day.  Have to say I'm really hoping I keep up with this regiment.  So far I enjoy where I'm going with the plot. Adding in some real historical background mixed with fiction should be an exciting mix to keep people interested. The historian in me probably would keep it strictly historical but people find history so boring. Also I've decided if I ever wanted to write a completely historical  book I already have my topic picked out. In fact I have about 3 chapters wrote on that topic which started as an undergrad paper. But to be honest I'm just so tired of Abraham Lincoln right now. Even though I think the whole Lincoln vs Chief Justice Taney angle would make an exciting novel.

My current writing though is exploring a few historical angles. One angle is vampires, another angle is the current political dispute between Hungary and Romania over a Territory better known as Transylvania. A third Angle that a main character brings up time and time again is Vlad the Impaler. How's this schmorgesbourge of topics gonna make an exciting mystery/vampire/horror/romance story. Something I've learned from many old fable and tales is there almost always has to be some type of  romance. But unfortunately I'm not banking on the romance part of this story being the major story arch it however will develop throughout the story.

I also have decided  that this will hopefully be a full novel length however I'm still debating on having a few small stories  linking into the bigger tale. Also I'm already thinking about creating a prologue which will cover the background more of a certain important character, then again I'm debating on if that would ruin the shock factor or not.

I am a fan of plays so I'm thinking of laying this story out in acts. Not officially, but since the story will leave the peaceful serene town in America and head back to the source of the mysterious disease and a war torn country.

I am hoping to keep the political turmoil out of it, but when the story moves onto the war torn territory it will be up to certain characters to find out if the stories they heard were true. So far it's a schmorgesbourge, but the story is beginning to take form and I'm hoping by making myself keep this log that I will stick to my goal of one page or more per day.

Day 2

Well day one saw me go to the three page mark. Getting ready to write the page I promised myself I'd write today. Not sure how much past a page I will write. So far I have a general consensus of the direction I want to move in. How many twists and turns will be thrown in is the question I ask myself? Another question I keep asking to myself is will I go with the general idea of writing short stories or turn into more of a novel. One idea I've been pandering is have each chapter be a short story within itself, but tying into a bigger story. Right now I'm just gonna write and I guess the direction will create itself.

So far my story's focal characters are a set of twins. The setup is that there are new neighbor's moving next door.  The first minor character introduced is the mailman. The (neighbor) is also introduced in a meeting with the mailman. The mailman and his wife have came down with a mysterious sickness and also have weird marks appear on their necks. Setup for any conventional vampire mystery.

Composing Thoughts

I've had this dream to actually write some form of novel ever since I was young. I believe the first story I started to compose was one I called The Dog-Headed Scientist. It was a throwback to classic horror stories of past. It was really only composed of three main characters, you had the professor, and two brothers. I actually found the handwritten story, that I may type up for the fun of it. Mind that it was written when I was in second grade.  Another problem I seem to struggle with is at some point I seem to change formats from a narrative to more of a play. I for some reason have always had a soft spot for the art of how plays are written, I am probably a rare individual that loves reading plays since well I get to get into character for each and every character. I'm actually thinking though of placing together an anthology of short stories I've written over the years. IN a way though I feel I keep writing in genres that have seen better days. Be it from Mystery to Classic Horror to a combination of Horror and Mystery. In hopes to keep myself writing and touching up some short stories I plan to post some sort of progress on here.I'm always one of those people that place things on hold or I never complete anything  start. Well I'm hoping by placing a progress report here daily will inspire me to complete something. I've actually sat down and thought about it, if I wrote one page a day for 1 year I would have an average length novel. Not to say I wouldn't write more than a page in a day, but that is my goal. Starting this August 15, 2010 through August 15, 2011 my goal is that to compose at least 1 page per day in either a collection of short, but related stories, or intertwining it into a complete novel. So far my current idea is to revive the classic vampire story, however since I seem to always involve a mystery somehow in my plots it will most likely be filled with twists and turns. I'm not sure if my vision of vampires will be that popular right now the way Hollywood is making fun of them, but hopefully there is still somewhere for the classic vampire.

I would like to bid adieu for the night as I attempt to write the opening of this story. Which I feel I've been writing in my head over the weekend. Too bad they haven't made a way to hook the brain to the computer to do the typing that way. It would make this a lot quicker.
